🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

As families and friends gather this holiday weekend, we ask everyone to help keep our roads safe. Please buckle up, drive distraction-free, and never drive impaired. Whether alcohol, drugs, or prescription medication are involved, impaired driving puts everyone at risk.

Law Enforcement will be working throughout the holiday weekend to promote occupant safety and remove impaired drivers from our roadways.

✔️ Designate a sober driver
✔️ Slow down and stay alert
✔️ Arrive alive

Let’s honor the memory of our fallen heroes by protecting one another and making safety a priority this Memorial Day weekend.

We are now taking applications for our 2026 SFST Instructor School! Instructor School 2026 is tentatively set for July 13-17, 2026 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hattiesburg, MS. Applicants MUST have approval to submit the application by a department official signifying that if accepted, you will be allowed to attend AND submit two reports where SFST was administered for review. Applications are due back to Director Dillion Cates no later than Friday, June 19th, 2026 at 5p.m.
Current SFST Instructors in good standing who have been an Instructor for a minimum of 3 years who wish to be considered for Master Instructor should have a current Master Instructor recommend them by June 19. A vote will be held and the top two will be invited, all recommended will be notified whether they are invited or not.

MSTIDE was pleased and honored to be able to teach 3 sessions at the 30th Anniversary S.T.O.R.M. Conference, supporting the mission of Occupant Safety and DUI Enforcement in our state by equipping officers with the skills and knowledge necessary to enable their success!

We remain committed to the protection of the citizens of Mississippi and the reduction of injuries/fatalities on our roadways through training and supporting Law Enforcement statewide!

Registration has opened for the following classes; ARIDE in Oxford June 2-3 & SFST in Pascagoula August 4-6. Our June Bay St.Louis SFST class is full, accepting waitlist applicants and recerts only.

We are currently working to open more SFST and ARIDE classes throughout the state so stay tuned!

SFST Instructor School applications will open in the coming days.
