The retirement resolution for Chief Inspector William Stewart was read at the Board of Aldermen meeting tonight. Chief Inspector Stewart also came by the station to add his name to our plaque of retirees. He will definitely be missed but we will continue to pursue his standard of hard work, fairness, and leadership. Congratulations William!

We love our boys in blue, but we really love beating their brakes off in a game of softball!! Today was the 3rd annual Ageless Men's Health first responder softball tournament. Oxford Fire, Oxford MS Police Department, Lafayette County Sheriff's Office and Lafayette County Fire Department play in a softball tournament. We are glad to say we brought the trophy back home!! It was a great day!!

We are so proud of firefighter, Blake Lowery. This past weekend, he graduated from Officer Candidate School and became a Second Lieutenant in the MS National Guard.
He received three awards He received the Erickson Award for Distinguished Honor Graduate, The Leadership Award for demonstrating quality leadership, and the OCS Commander's Award.
