Company members had the privilege to attend a Fire 1 graduation last night hosted by Valley Fire Chiefs Regional Training School.

Pictured below is Riverside Company member Alan Rackiewicz, who is now our newest interior certified firefighter! We congratulate him on this great achievement and are grateful for his commitment to service enduring this 6 month course with hundreds of hours of training both in class and behind the scenes!

During this class time period, he was selected as one of several “Squad Leaders” which is a great achievement! (Being a role model for other students in the class showing exemplary leadership skills as well as the drive to learn)

In attendance for the ceremony was company Chief Hellauer, 2nd Lieutenant Drake and firefighter Satkowski

It is with our profound sadness to announce the passing of one of our own. Zak McKeon passed away this morning. Zak was a new addition to the QF family and was just voted in as a probationary member in May. He was extremely excited and very active in this short time with us. He was willing to learn and was always willing to jump into any task you asked of him. He was moving to be an incredible asset to the Quaker Farms Fire Co and the Oxford Fire Dept as a whole. We will miss him dearly. Forever in our hearts and prayers Zak.

We were happy to assist with getting the dock at Jackson Cove Park back in place... and are happy to share that the park is officially open for the season. Enjoy the water and stay safe!

Oxford Fire Dept. held its monthly drill at Center Station. Members attended and performed forcible entry and roof ventilation drills, and had an overview of our ladder truck (Truck 46).
