Good Afternoon Flyers!

We will have our second meeting this Wednesday, September 27th, at 6:30PM. For this meeting, we will be going out to the Miami University Airport and seeing all the airplanes and attractions! Since we're a flying club, we want our members to experience our school's own airport and learn about the opportunities you can pursue out at the airport.

For this, we will be meeting in the parking lot west of Benton Hall and on the corner of Tallawanda Rd. and High St.

The club will provide transportation to the airport. If you have the option to drive yourself, feel free to meet the club at the airport at 6:40PM. (7101 Fairfield Rd)

At the airport, we will have the opportunity to walk and sit in our club plane and look at Miami University's own airplane. We will also check out the airport ramp and FBO. If there is anyone seriously interested in flying or learning to fly, this will be one the most hands on and personal experiences with airplanes this semester. If you to take a club flight, you also must come to this meeting!

Good Evening Flyers!

I hope you all had a great summer!

Oxford Aviators will be having our first meeting tomorrow - Wednesday, September 13th, at 6:30PM in Benton Hall Room 204.

We strongly encourage prospective members to attend this meeting. We'd love to hear your flying aspirations and your stories about flying. If you are interested in going on a club flight (flying in an airplane at the Miami University Airport), attendance is mandatory. In addition, if you are interested in learning about flying, getting your pilot's license (which you can do at the Miami University Airport) or pursuing a career flying, we strongly encourage you to attend this meeting.

In addition to welcoming new members, we hope existing members will attend as well to share their stories from flying over the summer. We would also like to hear about future plans you have for flying this school year and to connect to other students who are interested in flying. We will begin planning our field trips and possible flights for the 2017 fall semester and your input would be greatly appreciated!

Another Note: You do not have to be a pilot to be part of The Miami University Flying Club! Most students who are in The Miami University Flying Club are actually not pilots, but merely have a passion for aviation and flying.

We regret to announce that the Miami University Fly-In has been CANCELLED due to the inclement forecast tomorrow. Mother Nature just wasn't on our side this year, but we look forward to a late September/early October fly in to cap off the fly in season. We hope everyone has a fantastic summer of flying and we would love to see pictures of everyone's adventures!

The first meeting this semester will be tomorrow February 15th, 6:00PM in 222 Kreger Hall.

We will go over plans for the semester, as well as discuss club flights we will take. If you are new or interested in joining the Flying Club, it is recommended that you attend this meeting to learn about the opportunities you can be a part of.

We are super excited for our Fly-In today at the Miami University Airport from 10am-4pm!! Our favorite band is coming as always. Should be a beautiful day, come say hi!
