WTVY News 4 recently stopped by Ozark EMS to talk about the new $125,000 ambulance bay approved by the Ozark City Council.
Ozark EMS currently operates a fleet of seven ambulances and one non-emergency transport van. Keeping these units protected from the elements is about more than protecting the vehicles themselves. Our ambulances carry medications, IV fluids, and other temperature-sensitive medical supplies that must be maintained in accordance with Alabama Department of Public Health requirements.
This new ambulance bay will help us better protect our fleet, our equipment, and ultimately our ability to serve the citizens of Ozark.
Thank you to WTVY News 4 for helping share the story, and to the Ozark City Council for continuing to invest in the needs of Ozark EMS and the community we serve.
The city is working to clear the land for the project. The new ambulance bay is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
