🚨 DID YOU KNOW? Narcan Can Save a Life. 🚨

An opioid overdose can happen to anyone—a friend, family member, coworker, or even a complete stranger. Knowing what to do in those first few minutes can make all the difference.

💙 Narcan (naloxone) is a safe, easy-to-use medication that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose while emergency responders are on the way.

Know the signs of an opioid overdose:
✔️ Person won't wake up or respond
✔️ Slow, shallow, or stopped breathing
✔️ Blue or gray lips and fingertips
✔️ Pinpoint pupils

If you suspect an overdose:
📞 Call 911 immediately.
💉 Administer Narcan if available.
❤️ Begin CPR if the person is not breathing.
⏱️ Stay with them until EMS arrives.

Remember, Narcan won't harm someone if opioids aren't the cause, and Alabama's Good Samaritan protections encourage people to seek emergency help during an overdose.

At Echo EMS, we're committed to educating and protecting our community because knowledge saves lives.

📖 Check out our latest "Did You Know?" flyer to learn more about when and how to use Narcan.

We want to thank the Dale County Sheriff's Office for inviting us to be a part of this awesome event. We enjoyed the opportunity to be able to go and teach cpr and first aid to this great group kids. They got some hands on experience and got to tour and learn the ambulance and fire engine. (They might have learned how the deck gun on the engine works via waterslide activities but learning is learning right??😆😄) We taught, we learned and we had a great time being part of the very first S.T.A.R. Program. ⭐️ We look forward to doing this again in the future. Thank you again to all of the parents that allowed us to have this time with your children and The Dale County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to share in the experience.

We are excited to announce that our two new-to-us ambulances have officially arrived!
Over the next few weeks, these units will be sent out to be professionally striped and lettered before being fully outfitted with radios, lifesaving equipment, and everything needed to make them call-ready.
During this process, we will also be evaluating our current fleet to determine which units we’ll continue to operate, which may be retired, and how we’ll best position our ambulances throughout our service area to provide the fastest and most effective response possible.
Our goal has always been to continue growing, improving, and providing the highest level of emergency medical care to the communities we proudly serve. These additions are another step toward that commitment.
A huge thank you to our dedicated crews and everyone who works behind the scenes to make progress like this possible. We appreciate everything you do and look forward to putting these new units into service soon!
Stay tuned for updates as we transform these ambulances into the newest members of our fleet! 🚑❤️
