On May 25th Echo EMS hosted Survival Flight at our Station 2 location in Pinckard which covers the South end of Dale County. Survival Flight presented a LZ (landing zone) training and helicopter safety course. Local department participated to include: Pinckard, Midland City, Newton, Napier Field, and Echo Fire departments. Survival Flight is one of 3 helicopter air-vac services that cover our area, Enterprise Air-1 and Haynes Life Flight are the other two services.

Dale County is fortunate to have local fire departments that are so involved in their communities, most of which are volunteer. Echo EMS crews depend on these departments and they are a key factor in providing the best care to the citizens of Dale County. This is why joint training is such a vital part of the system.

Dale County and the surrounding counties are also very fortunate to have the 3 helicopter services in the area. These services provide roadside assistance in cases such as strokes, severe burns, major trauma and severe pediatric calls. Their services are so invaluable because not only can they save precious minutes, and also by getting the patients to the most appropriate facilities with burn centers, trauma centers and specialty surgical centers.

About Us

Echo EMS is a Non Profit community ambulance provider in Southeast Alabama. The organization was founded in 1996 as Echo Volunteer Rescue Squad with the belief that the public deserves high-quality patient care and excellent customer service in an ambulance provider, while still remaining cost-effective. That commitment to quality remains.

In 2008, the organization was rebranded as Echo EMS. The company specializes in 911 Emergency calls, ambulance transport services between hospitals and other health care facilities, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and long-distance transports, as well as contracts for special event medical coverage.

At Echo EMS, we believe the greatest strength of our organization is our local, skilled, and dedicated staff. Echo EMS currently employs more than 25 EMTs, paramedics, and communication and billing specialists. Our employees are on the ground every day to ensure we continue to raise the bar on medical transport for our patients. Our employees live in the communities they serve and are committed to providing the highest level of clinical care to residents, neighbors, friends, and family.
