Thank you, Senator Katie Boyd Britt, for your relentless work and dedication to Fort Rucker and the Wiregrass. This is tremendous for our region and state!

I have proudly advocated for Fort Rucker to be named U.S. Army’s UAS Center of Excellence for years. Today’s announcement makes clear that Fort Rucker, which has long been the beating heart of Army Aviation, will lead the Army into the next era of warfare.

I’m grateful to POTUS, the Secretary of War, the Secretary of the Army, and General LaNeve for continuing to recognize how valuable Alabama is to our nation’s defense and how much we have to offer. I look forward to continuing to work alongside them to support Fort Rucker’s mission.
