Christian County Health Department

Christian County Health Department Christian County Health Department is a local public health agency with a vision to help the county become an area of safe and healthy people.

In 1968 a public health office was established in Ozark under the auspices of the Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation with funding shared by federal government and the Missouri Division of Health. Two years later the Christian County Health Department was created by a vote of the residents of the county. The CCHD is governed by a five member Board of Trustees whom are elected in a non-partisa

n election and serve four-year terms. CCHD receives nearly one half of its funding from county property taxes. Additional funding comes from state contracts. Other funds are generated from fees for services such as water testing, food permits and wastewater permits. CCHD also receives a modest amount of donations both of a general charitable nature and in appreciation for services provided. CCHD contracts with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) for various programs and services. A scope of work must be completed under the terms of each individual contract. As part of its contracts with the state health department, CCHD utilizes state guidelines for employee qualifications, but maintains a separate pay plan. CCHD is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. Services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis. Clean: Daily
The problem with dirty counters isn't as much about what you can see as what you can't. Wiping down and sanitizing kitchen surfaces after each time you use them ensures stray germs from last night's dinner don't end up in your next sandwich.

Tuesdays are weird. Monday already stole your energy, the leftovers have mysteriously vanished, and your kids suddenly act like they’ve never eaten in their entire lives. Again. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

So before you end up serving cereal, string cheese, and ā€œjust vibesā€ for dinner, I rounded up some Tuesday Kids Eat Free (or super cheap) deals around the 417 to help rescue your evening and your bank account.

A few spots included:
Freddy’s
Fazoli’s
Jose Locos
Pizza Ranch
Panda Express
RibCrib
Village Inn
El Charro
Culver’s
Andy’s Frozen Custard (because bribery counts as parenting)

Honestly, there’s something magical about letting someone else bring the food while your kids spill crayons everywhere and ask for ketchup they won’t actually use.

And let’s be real… if nobody cries over dinner and you don’t have to wash a single pan, that’s basically a luxury vacation.

Bonus tip: definitely check with each location before heading out because some deals vary by location, age, time, dine-in rules, or whatever chaos the restaurant industry decided on this week.

Save this for your next ā€œif I have to cook tonight I might actually lose itā€ Tuesday evening.

šŸ•ļø Heading out for a camping trip? 🌲🦟
Bug spray is a must… but it’s also a common reason people call the Poison Help line.

Products containing DEET are safe when used correctly, but misuse can cause unwanted symptoms.

You might see:
😵 Skin or eye irritation
🤢 Nausea or upset stomach (if swallowed)

Stay safe:
āœ”ļø Apply only as directed
āœ”ļø Avoid eyes and mouth
āœ”ļø Don’t let kids handle it on their own

šŸ“ž Save the Poison Help line: 1-800-222-1222
Free. Confidential. 24/7.

Clean: Daily
You touch your phone countless times a day, and the fingerprints you leave on the screen are a grease trap for gunk and germs. Get in the habit of wiping it clean at least once a day. Studies show alcohol is best for killing bacteria, but check with your device's manufacturer to see what is recommends to avoid damage.
Don't forget to clean the case too!!
