🐾 REMINDER TO ALL RESIDENTS 🐾

Just a friendly reminder regarding the limitation on the number of dogs and cats permitted within city limits, as outlined in Ordinance 2012-5, Section 3.

ORDINANCE 2012-3, SECTION 3
LIMITATION ON NUMBER OF DOGS OR CATS. It shall be unlawful for any person or household to own, keep or harbor more than five (5) dogs or cats total over six months old within corporate limits of the city, except that this provision shall not apply to proprietors of dog and cat hospitals and veterinarians when such dogs or cats are kept upon premises used by such dog or cat hospitals and veterinarians as their normal place of business. The keeping of more than five (5) dogs or cats on the premises of the owner shall be prima facie evidence of violation of this section, and the burden of proof shall be on the owner to show ages of such dogs or cats.

Responsible pet ownership helps keep our community safe, healthy, and enjoyable for everyone.
