COMMUNITY FLOOD UPDATE

As floodwaters continue to recede, road conditions across Crockett County are steadily improving. Many roadways are beginning to dry; however, the significant amount of water that moved through our area has caused damage to several roads, resulting in potholes and other hazards. Please continue to use caution while traveling and remain alert for changing road conditions.

The draws throughout the county are still carrying flowing water. We ask everyone to avoid driving through standing or moving water and to exercise patience as crews continue their work.

Effective 7:00 PM today, the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be deactivated. Our first responders will continue normal operations while working diligently to remove roadway debris, assess damage, and assist residents in any way possible.

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, county crews, county officials, emergency management personnel, volunteers, and every member of our community who stepped up during this event. Your willingness to donate your time, equipment, resources, and support made a tremendous difference and reflects the strength of Crockett County.

Together, we are strong. Together, we overcome.

Thank you for your continued patience, cooperation, and support as we recover safely.

Crockett County Sheriff,
Victor De La Garza
