Pace Fire Rescue District In case of an emergency, dial 911 immediately! We are called to service to approximately 3,000 calls a year.

Pace Fire Rescue has been proudly serving the Pace, Pea Ridge, Floridatown, Wallace, and South Chumuckla communities and its visitors for over 60 years. We operate out of Station 1, located on Pace Patriot Blvd, it is staffed by 7 career Firefighters who are EMTs or Paramedics. We have three uncrewed outline stations that Volunteers can respond to Emergency calls with an apparatus or they can come

to our central station and respond as well. We are an ALS (Advanced Life Support) department which means when we have one of our Paramedics on scene, they can provide Advanced Life Support while waiting on an ambulance to transport. Providing these services allows us to provide the most beneficial and proactive care that we can to those in need. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. The Pace Fire Rescue District proudly congratulates Deputy Chief Buster Wadkins on reaching an extraordinary milestone: 50 years of service to the Pace Fire District and the citizens of Santa Rosa County.
Over five decades, Deputy Chief Wadkins has made a lasting impact on firefighters, families, and residents throughout Santa Rosa County through his leadership and commitment to the community.
“Deputy Chief Wadkins’ 50 years of service reflects the very best commitment and service to others,” said Fire Chief Robbie Whitfield. “His contributions to the Pace Fire District and the citizens of Santa Rosa County are deeply appreciated and will have a lasting legacy.”

Your Pace firefighters made a special rescue tonight near West Spencerfield road and Hwy 90. Not quite a kitten in a tree, but some ducklings that had found their way into a pickle! Great job to Squad 21 and Ladder 21 for their team work and effort reuniting these babies to their worried mother!

Early this morning, one of our crews responded to a call for service within our community. While operating on scene, a citizen became aggressive and made physical contact with one of our personnel. This behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist, and one subject was subsequently arrested.

We appreciate the support and quick response of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. The safety of our firefighters and personnel remains a top priority, and we maintain zero tolerance for aggressive behavior toward our members.
