One of our members was able to attend the 42nd Annual Nation Police Officers' Memorial Service in Washington D.C. Today we honor all the officers which have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Pacific Grove POA donates to a variety of organizations throughout the year. Recently we were excited to Sponsor a team with the PG Pony League. We were also able to donate to Hartnell Little League in Salinas. The POA is always excited to help local and surrounding groups which are able engage children in physical activities.

A couple of our members attended Selma Police Department Ofc Gonzalo Carrasco Jr. memorial this last week to show their appreciation for his service.

On 1-31-23, Ofc Carrasco was flagged down about suspicious person/trespasser call. After speaking with a homeowner, Ofc Carrasco was immediately shot at and brutally murdered by a felon with a gun. Ofc Carrasco is survived by his parents, brother, sisters, and girlfriend, who is expecting their first child.

We are all saddened by your loss. Thank you Ofc Carrasco for your ultimate sacrifice to your community. Rest easy hero, we’ll hold the line from here.

The Pacific Grove POA would like to congratulate Ofc Appling as 2022 Officer of the Year! He was voted and chosen by his peers due to his dedication to the department by volunteering his time whenever called upon. He also provides maximum effort on all of his cases and is willing to help other officers in their’s when needed. The PGPOA is proud of Ofc Appling and help us thank him for his service!
