Leanne actively participated with Pacific Partnerships for three years, serving as chair for one, and with the White River Valley Lions Club serving as Vice President and Treasurer. Leanne continues to volunteer as secretary and board member for Terry Home, a non-profit boarding home for survivors of traumatic brain injury. Leanne was appointed to the City Council in May of 2009 and elected in Nov
ember of the same year. She served on the Pacific City Council from 2009 until her appointment as mayor in July of 2013. While on the City Council Leanne served on the Public Works, Finance, Human Services, and Public Safety Committees and as a representative to the Sound Cities Association's Public Issues Committee. Prior to her appointment to the council she served on the planning commission for four years. As mayor Leanne continues to represent the City of Pacific as a voting member of the Sound Cities Association. She also represents the Sound Cities Association on various regional committees including the Growth Management Planning Council and the King County Flood Control District Advisory Committee. She was also recently appointed by Governor Jay Inslee to the State Building Code Council representing the Association of Washington Cities. In her professional life, Leanne is the Business Development Specialist for the United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters, where she has worked as a steam fitter for 19 years.
