The City of Pacific Planning Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall (100 3rd Ave SE).

Items on the agenda include:
🏡 Proposed code amendment regarding the definition of family day-care
🕒 Discussion on establishing an official regular meeting time for the Planning Commission
📋 Review and approval of previous meeting minutes
🏛 Staff and Commissioner reports

Community members are welcome to attend and provide public comment. Public comments are limited to 3 minutes for items not on the agenda.

📅 June 22–26, 2026
🕖 Place items at the curb by 7:00 AM on your regular garbage service day

✅ Accepted:
• Up to five (5) 32-gallon bags/cans of household garbage
• Small household items no larger than 1 square foot

🚫 Not accepted:
Large bulky items, appliances, tires, building materials, rocks, concrete, bricks, sod or dirt, recyclables, wood pallets, fencing, decking, planter boxes, or hazardous waste.

The deadline for applying for FEMA assistance is quickly approaching. Please please fill out the FEMA application by JUNE 10th even if you are not sure if you qualify. They will let you know if you do or not qualify. We want all residents directly affected by last December's flood to get all the support available. We know many residents who have already received some funds. The City of Pacific City Council will hold a public hearing on Ordinance 2026-2123 which would renew the Interim Official Controls (aka interim zoning) pertaining to the allowance of higher density residential and commercial development in a specified area of the city. This public hearing is an opportunity for interested residents to provide testimony for the record as the City considers permanent controls for the Milwaukee Blvd. S. and 3rd Ave. SE/SW corridors. Written comments prior to the hearing are also welcome.
