Pacifica Democrats

Founded in 1949, the Pacifica, we have monthly meetings with topics and candidates of local interest. Doors open at 9:00am. Seating is between 9:00am and 9:30am.

Pacifica Democrats meet monthly (except December) on the 3rd Saturday in the rear banquet room at the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant located at Sharp Park Boulevard and Highway 1 in Pacifica, California. Breakfast is available and served at 9:30am. Full breakfast $12, continental breakfast $6, coffee only $3. No purchase is necessary. Meetings end by 11:30am. Our monthly programs feature presen

tations, debates and forums by local, county, state and national political figures. All Pacifica - Daly City Democrats meetings are open to the general public. It is neither necessary to be a member nor a Democrat to attend. All are welcome.

This Saturday, August 15th, we will be excited to welcome Pacifica’s Police Chief Maria Sarasua. She will have a question and answer format, so come ask your questions! The meeting is at the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant at 9:30 am. While we are a Democratic group, this meeting is open to everyone.

Full breakfast is available for $20, Continental for $10, and coffee, tea or chocolate for $5, although no purchase is required. Payment can only be accepted as cash or check made out to the Sharp Park Restaurant. If you do want to order food, please arrive in plenty of time so that all orders can be placed by 9:30.

This Saturday, July 18th, the Pacifica Democrats will welcome Mayor Christine Boles and City Manager Sean Charpentier. They will give a State of the City, and review the budget. Our meeting is at 9:30 am at the Sharp Park Golf Course. The meeting is open to all. Breakfast is available for $20 for a full breakfast, $10 for Continental, and $5 for coffee, tea, or chocolate. Payment must be either in cash or by check to the Sharp Park Restaurant. If you wish to dine, please arrive in plenty of time to complete your order before 9:30.

This Saturday, June 20th, 9:30 am the Pacifica Democrats will welcome James Pruett of the San Mateo County Harbor District. Jim was selected by the San Mateo County Harbor District Board of Commissioners as its General Manager in 2019. He is a native of Pacifica and his family formerly owned a fishing business at Pillar Point Harbor. He spent his career as a commissioned officer in the US Coast Guard. The San Mateo Harbor District has responsibility for two main facilities, the Pillar Point Harbor, and the Oyster Point Marina/Park. One of the interesting things the Harbor District does is a drone fireworks show that perhaps Pacifica could learn from.

Before our speaker, we will have voting in the elections of officers for our Club for the upcoming 12 months.

After the main presentation, we will have an open session on the results of the recent state election.

As usual, we are the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant. Full breakfast is available for $20, Continental for $10, and coffee/tea/chocolate for $5. No purchase is required, but payment can only be accepted by cash or check.

The program at the Pacifica Democrats Club breakfast meeting at Sharp Park Restaurant this Saturday, May 16:

We invited San Mateo County Superintendent of Schools candidates Hector Camacho and Chelsea Bonini to present a candidates forum. Mr. Camacho will speak to us, but candidate Bonini has a schedule conflict and cannot attend.

We recommend that you bring your California and San Mateo County Voter Information Guides to the meeting for reference. In addition to Mr. Camacho's presentation and Q and A, the program will include an opportunity for those present to share their views on some of the leading candidates for Governor on the June 2 ballot.

The meeting is open to the public. No purchase is required, but a full breakfast is available for $20; continental $10; coffee, tea, or chocolate $5. We can accept only cash or personal check payable to Sharp Park Restaurant.

Please note: Consider arriving by or shortly after 9:00 for the best seating and sufficient time to order breakfast before the meeting begins at 9:30.

This Saturday, April 18th at 9:30 a.m., the Pacifica Democrats will welcome incumbent San Mateo County Supervisor Ray Mueller and his opponent Joaquin Jimenez. They are both running for the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, District 3. The meeting will also appear on Pacific Coast Television.

The meeting is open to the public and is held at the Sharp Park Restaurant at the golf course. No purchase is required, but a full breakfast is available for $20; continental $10; coffee, tea, or chocolate $5. We can accept only cash or personal check payable to Sharp Park Restaurant. All food orders must be made before 9:30, so please arrive near to 9 am if you plan to dine.
