📢 City of Packwood Sewer Billing Reminder

Wapello Rural Water Association (WRWA) handles sewer billing for the City of Packwood. The regular monthly minimum sewer charge remains due unless WRWA and the City have confirmed that billing should be changed.

Please contact WRWA promptly if:

• You purchase or sell a property
• Your mailing address changes
• A property becomes vacant
• The property uses a private well
• You believe the account information is incorrect

The City will receive monthly reports of past-due sewer accounts. Future unpaid sewer charges may be certified to the county treasurer and assessed against the property as permitted by Iowa law.

Questions about your account or bill may be directed to WRWA at 641-682-8351 or 1-800-906-8388.

Thank you for helping us keep Packwood’s sewer accounts accurate and current.

Our local Little League season is here, and we’d love to see the community come out and cheer on these young athletes! Your support means so much to our players, coaches, and families. 💙

Not only does your cheering make game night extra special, but every concession stand purchase helps support our program by funding equipment needs and future ballpark improvements. 🍿🌭🥤

So grab the family, bring a lawn chair, and join us for an evening of hometown fun — or simply stop by for a bite to eat and support the cause!

🎶 Packwood Neighbors – Carolers Are Coming! 🎶

Our local 4-H Club will be spreading some holiday cheer by caroling around Packwood next Wednesday evening, the 17th!

If you’d like the carolers to stop by and sing a song at your home, please leave your porch light on that evening so they know you’d enjoy a visit. 💡✨

⚠️ A Winter Storm Warning is in effect beginning Friday 9:00 p.m. CST and lasting through Sunday 6:00 a.m. CST — heavy snow (around 8 to 10 inches possible) and gusty winds are expected.

🚗 Please do NOT park on Main Street from 9:00 p.m. Friday onward to allow Harold plenty of room for snow removal.

🎃 Thank You for a Spooktacular Night! 👻

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Packwood Pre-Halloween Trick-or-Treat Supper! We had a ghoulishly good time with all of you.

A special shout-out to Marty and Virgil Chandler, Ben Ehret, Kayla and Olin Skinner, Firemen Shawn Coleman and Luke Fishel, and Pilot Grove Bank for helping make the evening such a frightful success!
