HIGHWAY 150 is now CLOSED at Victor Park / Hotel Hill. There is an 18 wheeler that is wrecked at the top of the hill that cannot be seen from the bottom, this will not be cleared anytime soon.

If you go around barricades you can be charged with failure to obey a traffic control device. If you do so and WRECK on the hill you WILL BE GIVEN A TICKET FOR THIS in addition to any other applicable violations noted.

Local traffic can go up and around on Montgomery and Stone Streets, the half lane barricade there is to prevent 18 wheelers from trying to take that route.

Please stay off the roads, there are many areas still with snow and ice. Just because the street in front of your house is clear doesn't mean it is everywhere.

let your drivers know not to come through this area trying to get to the Union distribution center.

Most of the roads around that have had sunshine on them are in decent shape. But understand that tonight the temperatures will be cold enough to turn any wet spots or standing water into black ice. Tomorrow morning WILL have ice on the roads in those spots. If you can avoid driving in the morning please do 👍

You can of course drive your golf cart to the festival and park it just like any other vehicle in the parking lots. Thank you and we'll see everyone there tomorrow!

It is with deep sadness that SCDPS announces the loss of one of our own, Trooper First Class Dennis D. Ricks. TFC Ricks passed away Wednesday night, nearly four days after being hit by a vehicle while performing a traffic stop in Orangeburg County. A graduate of SCHP Class 123 in September 2023, Ricks has proudly served in Troop 7 (Orangeburg, Calhoun) since then.

This is a devastating loss for his family, for those who worked alongside him in Troop Seven and the entire Highway Patrol and DPS family. Our deepest condolences go to his wife and family as they navigate this immense loss.

More information will be provided on social media, our website www.scdps.sc.gov and through media notices.
