Weston Wayne Dylan Rogers

Weston Wayne Dylan Rogers, age 10, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on May 1, 2025, in Prague. Born on August 19, 2014, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Weston was a bright, adventurous spirit whose love for the outdoors and fearless heart left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

A proud fourth grader at Gypsy Elementary School, Weston approached life with curiosity and courage far beyond his years. Whether he was boating on the lake, riding his side-by-side, or mowing the yard with a sense of purpose, Weston lived each day with energy, joy, and a sense of discovery. He had a natural gift for mechanics—often taking things apart just to figure out how to put them back together. He was endlessly fascinated by vehicles of all kinds, especially Jeeps like the one his NanNan drove.

Weston adored his family. He looked up to his big brother, Mason, with deep admiration and loved his little brother, Blayzen, with a protective and gentle heart. He loved giving gifts, always eager to share his joy and bring happiness to others in the simplest, most thoughtful ways.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bobby Taylor, and his uncle, Dylan Rogers.

Weston is survived by his loving parents, Daniel and D.D. Rogers of the home; his big brother, Mason Rogers and Hallee Merritt and his little brother, Blayzen Rogers; his grandparents, David and Lisa Rogers of Holdenville and Gayla Taylor of Paden; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins: Denver and Bailey Rogers of Norman, Randy and Vanessa West of Bethany, Bryton Washington and Nena Kidd of Noble, Jared and Marea Cooper of Paden, Kandice “NanNan” Taylor of Paden, Austin and Kaitlyn Peltier of Paden, and cousins Hayden, Birdie, Bleuenn, Elijah, Waylon, Langston, and Emma. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Fancy and Heidi, and a host of family and friends who will miss him deeply.

Sandra Kay (Ferrell) Trevizo age 62 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 15, 2025 after a long battle with illness. Sandra was born on December 13,1962 in Tishomingo, OK to Earl and Johnnie ferrell.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Johnnie of Paden, Oklahoma, sister Charlotte Trevizo of Shawnee, Oklahoma, sister in law Mary Ferrell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma brother-in-law Mark Kelly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, nephews Jared ferrell and Joseph Kelley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sandra is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law, Travis Trevizo and Ashley Trevizo of Paden, Oklahoma, and her Daughter, Tifiany Trevizo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and her grandchildren, Lexsey Trevizo and Jeremiah Trevizo of Paden, Oklahoma. Siblings are Sherlene + Kirk Kelley, Larry + Jonny Ferrell, Nathen Ferrell, and Brenda Kelly all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jimmy Farrell of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Sandra was a gorgeous and loving soul, to know her was to love her. She was there for her friends and family, always taking care of someone. She had a love for animals as they were a part of her family too. Sandra was a great cook, famous for her chicken and dumplings and potato salad.

Sandra will be greatly missed by those who was blessed to have known her and loved her.

A celebration of life service for Larry Wayne Johnson will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah with Rev. Jim Eastep officiating.

Larry Wayne Johnson was born June 7, 1946 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Hubert and Dorothy Lewella (Williams) Johnson. He passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Larry and Ada Jean Lee were married October 21, 1970 in El Reno, Oklahoma. He and Ada have been residents of the Paden area since 1978. Larry proudly served his country with the United States Air Force also retired, in 2004, from the Department of Corrections.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Linda Sue Golightly.

Survivors include his wife, Ada Jean Johnson of the home.

Honorary bearers include Jaxson Lee, Travis Lee, Starsky White, Brandon Howard, Tony Lee, Chad Self, Landon Lee, Anthony Gattrell, Tyler Lee, Stacy McCormick, Lindsey Lee, Angie Bean, Meggin Bean, Erica Edwards, Myriah Rogers, Railey Salsbury, Flecia Lee, Chelsey Lee and Ashley Parks.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.

Funeral services for Zenobia Logan will be held this Saturday, March 15th at 11:00 am, at the Paden Holiness Church.

A viewing at the same location will be held Friday, March 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Internment will be at the Oakdale Cemetery immediately following the church service.

A full obituary will be posted when made available.

Edward Miller, age 78, of Gore, Oklahoma, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Born on April 21, 1946, in Paden, Oklahoma, he was raised in a loving, close-knit family alongside his nine siblings. Among them, his bond with his brother Bobby Joe was particularly special, marking a lifelong friendship that defined much of Edward's life.

After completing his education at Reedley High School in California, Edward proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he completed three tours as a door gunner on an attack helicopter, accumulating over 500 hours of combat flight time. His courageous service was met with great sacrifice, as he faced numerous dangers, including surviving four helicopter crashes. It was the last time Edward was shot down that he suffered injuries he would never be able to fully recover from. Tragically, he lost his brother Paul Wayne in service during the war, a loss that deeply affected his family, while Bobby Joe, also serving in Vietnam, returned home with injuries.

Upon returning to civilian life, Edward married the love of his life, Betty Lou Perry (affectionately known as Pug), in Paden, Oklahoma. Their union blossomed in Gore, where they nurtured their shared love over the next 54 years, embracing life’s adventures together. Edward welcomed the Perry family as his own, gaining 13 additional siblings. He and Betty created a warm and welcoming home, raising two children and celebrating the joys of family with three grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Edward took great pride in his fishing skills, often regarded as the best crappie fisherman around. He also enjoyed hunting and tending to his lawn. Edward cherished hosting fish fries for family gatherings and for his son’s Highway Patrol partners, ensuring that no guest left with an empty plate. He found joy in spending time with his core group of friends down at Walker’s repair shop, at Boone’s Napa or “shooting the bull” at Ogg’s service station. Edward was also an avid reader and had a passion for documentaries, always eager to learn.

Edward's legacy as a devoted son, brother, hero, husband, father, grandfather, and friend reflects the admirable qualities he embodied throughout his life. His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mont and Sevella Miller; his brothers Porter (Bo), Paul Wayne, and Phillip Dale Miller; and his sisters Freda (and husband Tom) McCone and Jane (and husband Chet) Shelton.

Edward is survived by his loving wife Betty; son Scott; daughter Colleen Thayer; and grandchildren Micalla (and husband Jamison) Schrader, Chiara Miller, and Tyler Miller. He is also survived by his brothers Monte Miller, Bobby Joe (and wife Donna) Miller, and Leonard (and wife Darla) Miller, and sister Elaine (and husband Larry) Spears, along with the extended Perry family, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

As a tribute to Edward, his family would like to acknowledge his close friends as honorary pallbearers: Danny Walker, Dan (Boone) Carter, Donald Dixon, and Gordan Queen, for their enduring friendship, as well as family members Jamison Schrader and Dustin Ross for their closeness and orneriness they shared with Edward.

Viewing will be Noon - 6 PM Friday at Agent Millsap Even Center in Gore, Oklahoma.

A graveside service will be held to honor Edward at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden, Oklahoma, directed by Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Edward Miller will be remembered and celebrated for the love, joy, and strength he brought to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Priscilla Fern Hessman was born January 5, 1940, in Arvin, California, and left us peacefully on February 15, 2025, at her home in Prague after a long battle with cancer. She grew up in the Sacramento area, and moved to Paden, OK, after her marriage to Jack Hessman in June of 1959. They lived near Paden until his death in 2006. Fern worked for many years as a medical records transcriptionist while raising four children. She was intelligent, witty and generous to a fault. She loved reading, especially mysteries and watching old mysteries on tv (and often SLEEPING to them! Charlie Chan was her favorite sleep background!). She loved dancing and music, especially Elvis! She loved seeing the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall. She loved her family and her faith and was quite certain of her place in Heaven after leaving Earth.

Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents, Henry Height and Wauzell Gill; her brother, David Height and her son, Theron Hessman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children and their spouses, Laura and Lorin Slayton of Prague, son Derek and Amy Hessman of Centerton, Arkansas and son Erik and Amy Hessman of Omak, Washington, along with her grandchildren, Sarah, Crissy, Kaden, William, Austin, Haley, Jack, and Marigold. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Lewis of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and her special fella, David Bland, who now assumes custody of “Tiger Baby.”

The family wishes to express our sincerest thanks to everyone who helped make her trying last few years more comfortable, including the caring nurses (especially Jolina and Gail) and clergy (Thom) at Loving Care Hospice, and Brother Tim Emmons.

Billie Jean (Dyer) Warden, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at the age of ninety-nine years old. Billie was born on October 26, 1925, in Micawber, Oklahoma, near Paden. She was the daughter of William and Madeline (Farris) Dyer. After leaving high school, Billie went to work at Douglas Aircraft factory (now Tinker AFB) before getting married.

Billie married Louis Calaway Warden on April 21, 1944, and they were happily married for more than sixty-three years before he preceded her in death on June 15, 2007. Billie and the family moved throughout the country, following Louis’s work. Together, they settled on their place near Paden following his retirement in 1988. After Louis’s death, Billie went to live with her daughter in Edmond to be closer to her children and their families. There, she lived the remainder of her life.

Billie loved working in her flower beds, gardens, and doing all things outside, even mowing the yard. If she couldn’t be outside, she would be in her kitchen making a homemade dessert, plum jelly, or crocheting something.

Billie was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and had a strong faith in Lord and Savior.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of more than sixty-three years, Louis Warden; two sons, Ron Warden and Monty Warden; her son-in-law, Jim Ward; her grandson, Lee Warden and her brother, Clayton Dyer.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Gayla Ward; her daughters-in-law, Judy Warden and Gloria Warden; her grandchildren, Brian Warden, Shean Warden and his wife, Holly, Rebecca Hendry and her husband, Derek, Sarah Milburn and her husband, Chris and Amanda Moore; nine great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Vernice Warden; three nieces and a nephew.
