Reminder: Today, April 15, is the LAST DAY for business owners to submit their renditions for Business Personal Property. After today, a 10% penalty will be assessed. Reminder to File 1-d-1 (Open Space) Agricultural Use Applications:

the Cottle County Appraisal District mailed 1-d-1 (Open Space) Agricultural Use Applications to new owners of land that previously qualified for special appraisal. If you wish to have your property valued based on Agricultural Use Appraisal, you must submit a completed application by April 30. Applications received and approved after April 30 will be assessed a penalty of 10 percent of the difference between the amount of tax imposed on the property and the amount that would be imposed if the property were taxed at market value. Late applications may be filed up to midnight the day before the appraisal review board approves the appraisal records for the year, which usually occurs in July. REMINDER: This is the last week to pay property tax without penalty. We will be open today until 5 and tomorrow 9am-5pm, and we are closed on Fridays. Since the 31st falls on Saturday and our office is closed we will take January amount on Monday, February 2nd. If you are unable to pay in person, you can also pay online at cottlecad.org or drop a payment in the drop box. Please call office if you have any questions, 806-492-3345.

Attention business owners, it's the time of year again for the BPP rendition to go out. PLEASE READ THE INSERT REGARDING NEW RULES WHEN FILLING OUT THE FORM. They will be mailed out this week.
