Lone Oak Fire Department As one of the first fire departments in the area, the Lone Oak Fire Department has been serving the The Lone Oak Fire Department is an all volunteer effort.

We have dedicated volunteers from all walks of life united together in a common goal to save life and property. Currently we have over thirty five members but are always looking for more. We are especially looking for people who live close to and can respond to Station 2 and Station 3. Please contact Larry Freeman or Dave Wright if you wish to join the Lone Oak Fire Department Team. ire Department Conducts training on Thursdays. The First and Third Thursdays is general Firefighter Training. The Second Thursday is geared towards officers. The Fourth Thursday is EMS /EMT Refresher training. The training sessions start at 6 PM and usually last 3 hours. Training is usually conducted at Station 3. We have state of the art training facilities including a burn tower, classroom facilities, a complete home maze/smoke room, drivers training course and four-story training tower. This training is open to all firefighters and members of other departments and to the public in general. We especially welcome the opportunity to train with our mutual aid and other fire departments. The general training sessions cover various topics and there are multiple classroom and hands on sessions occurring simultaneously, so you can pick and choose the training you wish to attend. Some of the training sessions (such as live burn) may have a limit on the number of students, so please contact Dave Wright or Larry Freeman prior to the training session.

All of us at LOFD are saddened of the tragic loss of a member of the Concord Fire Department today.

We ask the community to pray for the families, friends, and members of the Concord Fire Department as they navigate this difficult time.

This morning our department suffered a tragic loss. Responders were dispatched to the 9800 block of Blandville Road for a 2 vehicle crash at around 5:30 A.M. Upon arrival it was found that Concord Firefighter Kameron Bristoe was killed in this collision. Another victim was transported to an out of state hospital for treatment.

First and foremost please keep the family of Firefighter Bristoe in your thought and prayers, Kameron leaves behind a wife and 3 young children. Please also keep the other victim in your thoughts and prayers as well as all the responders on the scene and fire department family he leaves behind.

We also want to show our appreciation to West McCracken Fire Department, Lone Oak Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS, McCracken County Rescue Squad, McCracken County Coroner’s Office, Emergency Management, and McCracken County Sheriff’s Office for all their support during this time.

🚒 Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department | 2025 Call Summary 🚒

In 2025, Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department proudly responded to 409 calls serving our community. While many people associate the fire department primarily with fires, the reality is that our work covers a wide range of emergencies and public service needs.

Here’s a snapshot of how we served Lone Oak this year:

• Medical Assists: 194 calls
• False Alarms / Cancelled Calls: 54
• Public Service Calls: 41
• Structure Fires: 17
• Grass / Brush Fires: 22
• Vehicle Fires: 6
• HazMat Responses: 2
• And many other call types

🕒 Busiest Times:
The majority of our calls occurred between 6 PM and 6 AM, when volunteers are often responding from home, work, or family time.

⏱ Average Response Time:
• 6.1 minutes from dispatch to on-scene
• 5.4 minutes for structure fires

👨‍🚒 Volunteer Response:
• Average of 5.7 responders per call
• Nearly 11 responders on structure fires

Every call represents neighbors helping neighbors. Our department is 100% volunteer, and we are grateful for the continued support of the Lone Oak community.
