A Heat Advisory is in effect through Friday for a prolonged heat wave this week. Daily heat indices will be in the 100-106 range. Overnight low temperatures will stay warm in the 70s with record warm lows possible this week.

He succeeds current Chief District Engineer Kyle Poat, who is retiring Aug. 31 after serving eight years as chief engineer.

๐—”๐——๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—ฆ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ฌ (๐—”๐˜‚๐—ด. ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿญ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฒ) โ€“ Jim Smith Contracting plans to implement a work zone lane restriction on U.S. 60 at mile point 28.4 in Salem, near the Livingston County Hospital, on Wednesday, Sept. 2 for roadway repairs. This is permitted work.

Motorists should expect a single-lane restriction with alternating traffic managed by flaggers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please use caution.

If additional time is needed to complete the repair, work may resume on Thursday, Sept. 3.

No through traffic. Please self-detour.
Cross drain replacement planned near mile point 16.5, near Ed Smith Road.
The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately one week.
