The McCracken County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating Dwayne Morrow, a Black male, date of birth April 3, 1994, who is wanted on felony charges in both Kentucky and Georgia.

Morrow is currently wanted by the Gwinnett County Police Department in Georgia on arrest warrants charging him with Kidnapping and Battery stemming from an investigation into an incident that occurred on March 12, 2026, in Lilburn, Georgia.

According to Georgia investigators, Morrow allegedly assaulted a male victim during a dispute at a residence, causing significant injuries that required medical treatment. Following an extensive investigation, warrants were obtained for Morrow's arrest.

As detectives worked to locate Morrow, the McCracken County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at his residence in Paducah. During the search, detectives located a handgun. Because Morrow is a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing fi****ms. As a result of the investigation, local charges have also been obtained against Morrow for Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Investigators believe Morrow may still be in the Paducah/McCracken County area or may be attempting to avoid law enforcement.

Photographs of Morrow are attached to this release. Anyone who recognizes him or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact law enforcement. Citizens should not attempt to approach or apprehend Morrow themselves.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Morrow is encouraged to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office at 270-444-4719 or submit an anonymous tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers by calling 270-443-TELL.

Please be aware of an emerging scam tactic being used to steal customers' information:

The “*21*” scam is a type of phone fraud where a scammer tricks customers into entering a code that forwards all incoming calls and text messages to the scammer’s device. This also allows the scammer to intercept one-time passwords (OTPs) and other sensitive information to gain access to customers’ financial and online accounts.

The scammers often call pretending to be financial institution representatives or another trusted company and ask the customer to dial a code like one of the following saying it will "secure" the account.

AT&T / T‑Mobile: *21* + destination number + # to enable;
Verizon: *72 + destination number + # to enable;
US Cellular: *72 or *73 + destination number + # to enable.

How the scam works:

1. The fraudster contacts the customer, often by impersonating a legitimate entity like their bank, phone provider, or a company they’ve ordered from.

2. They create a sense of urgency by claiming a problem with the account, a fake missed package, or fraudulent activity.

3. The scammer provides instructions for a supposed "fix." Telling the customer to dial a code like one of the above and 10-digit number, the fraudsters phone number.

4. The code forwards your calls and text messages to the fraudster.

5. The swindler hijacks the customers’ accounts. They then use their access to the customers’ calls and texts to defeat financial institutions calling customers to verify transactions / checks, and initiate password resets on the accounts. They can intercept the OTPs or two-factor authentication codes sent to customers’ phones, giving them control of bank, social media, or other online accounts.

Deactivating call forwarding varies by carrier.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at approximately 2:00 pm the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a report of a missing woman, identified as Colleen Dunn (45) of Melber, Kentucky.

The investigation revealed Dunn had not been seen or heard from since earlier in the morning. Our agency and Dunn’s family began working together and using digital resources in order to obtain a location on Dunn. Deputies and family members also began checking the area where they knew her to last be traveling in.

At approximately 2:50 pm, Dunn and her vehicle were located in a deep ravine in the St. Johns area of McCracken County, off Old US Highway 45. Preliminary evidence suggests Dunn was involved in a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision, left the roadway and overturned in a ravine.

Dunn was pronounced deceased on scene by McCracken County Coroner Amanda Melton.

We were assisted at the scene by Mercy Regional Ambulance, Lone Oak Fire Department, McCracken County DES, Harper’s Towing & McCracken County Coroner Amanda Melton.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Please keep Dunn’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
