Our first day in the dining room at our new-to-us building was nothing short of amazing; we had almost 100 seniors come out yesterday, and it was so nice to see their smiles and hear their laughter as they enjoyed a good meal and each other's company. We are so thankful for the understanding and patience we have received during this transition. As we work to finish the remaining areas of the building, including the parking lot, we ask for continued patience.

Our staff has been dedicated and resilient through it all; none of it would be possible without them and their commitment to our mission❤️

Our current hours are 10am-1pm and lunch is served at 11:50am.

Our dining room will open Monday, September 28, at 10:00 a.m., and the congregate meal will be served at 11:50 a.m.

Monday Menu:
Oven-fried chicken
Broccoli and cauliflower
Scalloped potatoes
Roll
Sugar cookie

Our operating hours beginning Monday will be Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., until further notice.

Reminder: Only the dining room area will be accessible at this time. All seniors must enter through the back entrance; the kiosk to sign in will be available in the foyer.

We're thankful for the $500 grant awarded to us from Kelly Martin and Rent One, Great Expectations Fund. This grant will go towards our operational expenses for the Senior Center.

Their continued support of our mission through this grant is very much appreciated. This foundation has generously gave to us twice this year!

🚌The Senior Ride Program Is Coming Back🚌

We are excited to announce the renewed partnership between Paducah McCracken Senior Center and Paducah Area Transit System (PATS) beginning October 1st!

Through this partnership, PATS will provide transportation for McCracken County residents age 60 and older to the following destinations within McCracken County:

• Medical appointments (excluding seniors who have Medicaid)
• Paducah McCracken Senior Center
• Pharmacies
• Social Security Office
• Post Office (up to 4 visits per month)
• Social Services Office (HIPP Building)
• McCracken County Courthouse & City Hall
• Banks or Credit Unions (up to 4 visits per month)
• Paducah Cooperative Ministry (1 visit per month)
• Grocery Stores, excluding Walmart (Tuesdays & Fridays)

⏰ Transportation is available Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

We are incredibly grateful to PATS for their partnership and for their work to help restart this important program for seniors in our community. Transportation can make such a difference in a senior’s ability to access essential services, maintain independence, and stay connected.

And a special THANK YOU to PATS for adding a covered shelter in front of our new space! ☔ This thoughtful addition will provide seniors with a safer and more comfortable place to wait for transportation.

We are excited to see the Senior Ride Program return on October 1st and look forward to continuing to work together to serve the seniors of McCracken County!

🎉 We’re Getting Closer! 🎉

We’re excited to share that we have received approval from the City and Health Department to open! Yesterday, we also had our PADD visit, and our required documents have now been submitted to the State Department of Aging.

We are currently waiting on that final seal of approval and have requested it by the end of this week so we can open our dining room area. If approval is granted as anticipated, we plan to open next week🙌

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work through this process. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and see our center filled with meals, fellowship, laughter, and connection again❤️
