Permanent Recreation Fee Technician positions are on USAjobs.gov! These positions serve as a front-line, uniformed representative of the NPS, selling passes, collecting entrance fees, answering visitor questions and explaining the area’s recreational opportunities. They will perform assignments in accordance with all NPS and U.S. Treasury regulations regarding the handling of government funds. Check the announcement for a complete list of duties. These positions are open to the public who live within 100 miles of Page, AZ or Bullfrog, UT and are based out of Page, AZ or Bullfrog, UT (listed as Kane Country, UT).

To apply you will need proof of residence within 100-mile radius of Page, AZ or Bullfrog, UT. Accepted proof of residency are:
🟢Mortgage or Property Deed - must include applicant’s name and address
🟢Lease/Rental Agreement - current and signed
🟢Utility Bill or Service Statement - recent (30-90 days), with name and address
🟢Insurance Policy (home/auto) - address must match residency claim
You will also need a two-page resume showing that the applicant meets the minimum qualifications.

⛺Saturday: Guided Hanging Garden Hike 6:30-7:30pm MST and Evening Programs at Wahweap Amphitheater 8:30pm-9:30pm MST.

Hello Glen Canyon! Our friends at US National Weather Service Flagstaff Arizona and US National Weather Service Salt Lake City Utah have some windy news for you. The wind continues. Watch for those 25-30mph gusts! Drive with the crosswinds in mind on your way to or from Glen Canyon, especially in high-profile vehicles. Tie down loose gear and bring in your wheelie bins. Check in with our Weather friends for the latest windy news.

A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon, mainly across northwestern Arizona. The rest of you get nothing, well except for wind. There will be plenty of wind to go around.

⛺ Attention Lees Ferry enthusiasts ⛺

The Lees Ferry campground will be closed June 1, 2026 for three weeks for construction. The upper loop of the campground is closed through September 30, 2026. Do not enter the construction area. No other camping is available at Lees Ferry.

Heads up to the kayakers and other boaters in the Antelope Point – Wahweap areas:

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area's Aids To Navigation (ATON) crew are disconnecting the breakwater and dock from the Antelope Point public launch ramp and moving them to Wahweap. The dive team should be done relacing the breakwater tires today, May 6, 2026. They will take the courtesy docks that are tied up to the tires and barge them over to Wahweap tomorrow.

⚠️Stay clear of the ATON crew while they are working for your and their safety.⚠️
