TAKE DOWN TO***CO NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION

Today, March 18, some of our student leaders had the opportunity to visit the Hawaii State Capitol for Take Down To***co Day. They got to meet directly with legislators, learn the issues and build advocacy skills, and make their voices heard working towards a healthier, safer world by protecting our keiki from ni****ne addiction.

In addition to the previously announced closures for O’ahu, Kaua’i and Maui County, the Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) has expanded the closure to include all public schools and HIDE offices on Hawaii Island on Friday, March 13.

This update aligns with the directives issued by Gov. Josh Green and county mayors in response to severe weather conditions impacting communities statewide.

The Department appreciates the Governor’s leadership and the coordination across state agencies to keep communities safe.
