Friends, family and Nevada Veterans. The Richard Star act is at 213 of 218 of legislatures who have signed the petition to allow it to go to the floor for a vote. Our NV 2nd District Congressman Mark Amodei(R) is THE ONLY representative that has not signed. Please call his office and ask him to to sign the petition as his final act leaving office. He's not seeking reelection. Please be respectful when calling.

Commanders, Comrades and Patriots,
Attached are two flyers announcing a costume or dress up contest at the Patriotic Celebration at the National Convention in Reno, Nevada on Tuesday July 28, 2026.

The Chief has asked for a Crowd Karaoke where she has selected eight (8) American Rock & Roll/Country/Pop songs for all attendees to sing along with her to celebrate 126 years of the VFW and 250 Years of the United States of America.

We are also having a costume contest in three areas, Best Dressed Patriotic Group (Think dancing dinosaur’s in RWB), Best decorated Scooter (Not you Jeff from Oklahoma as I know your nickname is Scooter) and last a Veteran & Spouse/Partner award. You still have plenty of time to shop for or order online for your costume and decorations. I bought a new fancy vest just for the occasion.

Please distribute this email within your respective areas of operation as we prepare to meet and celebrate the close to an outstanding year.
