SNCCD is pleased to announce that it awarded three scholarships to attend the NVACD Youth Range Camp,the camp has a long and successful history and been going since 1961. Nevada Youth Range Camp focuses on relationships between people and rangeland. Campers learn about plants, wildlife, water, and soil in order to make good decisions about rangeland management and use.While the camp is educational, it also offers an enjoyable outdoor experience shared with youth from around Nevada. Activities include swimming, fishing, hiking, volleyball, horseshoes, campfires, and entertainment. The SNCCD Applicants for the Youth Range Camp, that were selected and awarded scholarships to attend, were from Beatty, NV and Pahrump, NV.

Removal of Noxious Weeds and Trees, clears waterways, and provides and creates habitat for many species to enjoy!

The Nevada Department of Agriculture has Landowners Responsiibilities here:

Nevada Revised Statute 555.130 states, "Every person owning, controlling or occupying lands in this state shall cut destroy or eradicate all weeds declared and designated as noxious before such weeds propagate and spread and whenever required by the State Quarantine Officer."

SNCCD is working with all it's Partner's to remove noxious weeds/trees which in turn creates habitat and spring rehabilitation and waterway clearing
