We are excited to be hosting a community meeting and have the opportunity to share the phenomenal milestones we have made in the development of our supportive housing for adults with differing abilities, their care networks, and other mission-aligned community members.

With opening remarks from Council Member U'u-Hodgins, a presentation by Executive Director Ashlee Klemperer, and a Q&A panel with our architects and experts, it is sure to be an informative and inspiring event.

Our 2025 Fall Family Festival is happening tomorrow!!! We are beyond excited to have a Trish Da Dish, amazing radio icon, as our Emcee for the day. The phenomenal Ms. Tanama Colibri will be performing, there will be delicious treats and tasty eats...miniature horses to pet and play with and our silent auction!

Please join us tomorrow, Saturday October 18th from 10am to 2pm at 639 Baldwin Ave, Paia Maui. It will be a day for all ages to enjoy!

Team La’akea had a blast today at the Maui County Special Fair day! We all are so grateful Maui County created a space for our community to enjoy this amazing experience together. Mahalo Maui County and everyone who supports adults with differing abilities.

Our team made a swift decision to evacuate participants and staff the moment they saw how close the fire was to the farm. All participants and staff are safe. We are monitoring the fire very closely and will remain closed as long as evacuation orders are in effect. Thank you to all of our amazing supporters who reached out in this potential time of need. La'akea Village is hosting our annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 from 10am to 2pm at our farm located at 639 Baldwin Ave, Paia!!

Join us for a fun day filled with music, trivia games, food, crafts and items created by our phenomenal participants, and a fully stocked La'akea Country Store!! We are also beyond stoked to have two gorgeous miniature horses, bunnies and a tortoise to pet and play with, thanks to a great partnership with IMUA. Emceed by the hilarious and infectious "Trish Da Dish", you and the family will not want to miss this event.

There will also be a live auction - online and in person - to raise money for our Abilities Day Program. Help support us as we seek to provide the best service to our adult participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Kalo planting day at the farm was a success!! Mahalo to our amazing volunteers, participants, and staff for their dedication to one of our core values - “stewardship”. To live this value at La’akea we are working to prioritize planting and cultivating native plants such as dry kalo.

We are excited to announce that our country store will be open this Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. Come down and check out our amazing local agriculture, products, including coffee, honey, dried herbs, tea, chili oil, and more. All proceeds benefit our programs that support adult adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We hope you are able to stop by, say hi to our Participant and Mentor and support our amazing organization.
