Meet today's Clear the Shelters featured pet, Bruiser!
We know your heart will swell over this 8-year-old pup! At 96 pounds, this big, lovable boy goes by the name of Bruiser, and he is complete perfection!
Bruiser found himself at Lake Humane Society after his owner passed away. He is now on the search for a family he can spend his senior years with. If there is one thing you can count on, it is that Bruiser will be the most loyal and best boy to the family that gives him a forever home. Bruiser is gentle, outgoing, affectionate, and after years of experience, has infinite wisdom and life lessons to share! Bruiser has been around children of all ages, and may welcome canine friends pending a meet.
The shelter is making this sweet boy anxious so we would love to see him go home this weekend. He has quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite. Are you the perfect family for this very special boy?
Please email [email protected] if you would like to meet Bruiser!

On July 1 Ohio's new fireworks law becomes effective. See the link below for full details. Please be sure to read through the important regulations.
⚠️Based on feedback we have received there seems to be substantial misunderstanding on what the new law allows. Most will find that most types of aerial fireworks will still be illegal in their neighborhoods even on the limited number of days the law allows fireworks.
Based on the rules set forth in the new law aerial fireworks will STILL be illegal in the vast majority of our residential neighborhoods in our township as there are strict distance guidelines on where they can be ignited and let off. Also, contained in the information are the ONLY dates and times when any consumer grade fireworks are allowed where permitted due to distance constraints. We ask that you follow the law regarding fireworks for your safety and the safety of everyone. Any use of fireworks outside of the regulations set forth in the new law is still and always has been illegal.

Recent changes in Ohio law that go into effect today have raised several questions about fireworks. Madison Village, like most Lake County municipalities, does not permit the discharging of fireworks. Please leave the firework displays to the professionals, and have a Happy & Safe 4th of July weekend!

🌽🍅🫑🌱The Painesville Municipal Court Garden planting is underway this week! Operated by Judge Paul R. Malchesky and under the guidance and supervision of Walter Siegel, non-violent offenders sowed the one acre garden located at 3740 Center Road in Perry Township. The plants were donated by local nurseries Petitti Garden Centers and Middle Ridge Gardens. Over 100 probationees worked over 1,200 hours of community service last season and donated vegetables to centers across eastern Lake County. Probationees will tend and harvest throughout the growing season. 👇Watch the video to see Judge Malchesky and Wally's prediction for this growing season!
