Madison Avenue is now open!

Drinking and driving is so unnecessary and wrong. In times when a ride is just a couple taps away in an app it’s even more terrible. This was so unavoidable. Prayers for all involved. And kudos to Painesville Township Fire Department for their skilled work and response.
Happy New Year!
We have the best crew around!
After 50hrs of snow plowing over the holiday weekend we had several issues with our plow trucks from electrical to hydraulic. We are a small department and mindful of our budget so we try to fix everything we can ourselves. With that being said we are back to full strength in 3 days.
This project will connect the sidewalks on Madison Ave to Bowhall giving more people safe & easy access to the park AND safer access to the sidewalks leading to the school for those living in the neighborhoods off of Bowhall. I know when I was growing up off of Dorothea I would have loved to have these sidewalks! Kudos to my fellow Trustee Josh Pennock, for heading up this grant request.
We will have more details soon.
Inflation continues to make things challenging not just for families, but for local organizations whose focus is to help those in need. Luckily, help is on the way in Painesville.
🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
Winter has arrived and with it comes winter weather like we have coming over the next couple days. Have you signed up for WENS (www.lakeohioalert.com)? It only takes a minute and could help keep you and/or your family informed & safe during an emergency.
Wind chill values could drop as low as -20°F to -25°F through early Saturday morning with prolonged cold remaining in place through early next week. Here are some cold weather safety tips:
✅ Remember Pets❤️ (if you’re cold, so are they)
✅ Beware of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
✅ Know the Signs of Hypothermia

After years of work and collaboration between Painesville Township and the Lake County Sheriff's Office, we received word that the liquor license for Lake Dine & Dance has officially been revoked by the State of Ohio. Because of this revocation the business and all the crime associated with it will never be a drain on our law enforcement nor a safety concern for our residents ever again. This is great news for our community.
Congrats, Mark. Enjoy your deserved retirement.
Please join us in congratulating Lt Mark Myllykoski on his retirement! Today is his last day after 35 years of service with the Painesville Township FD. We wish him the best in retirement!
If I didn’t see it for my own eyes I wouldn’t believe it. But, I saw it and it’s just so disappointing. Be better.

I am so excited that I got this opportunity to do this. My school has an annual Halls of Holly for all the kids to come and make crafts and play games if you...
A very sad loss for our community and his family. Mr. Sidley was a member of our community for many years. Prayers for his family.

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m truly thankful to be able to serve such a great community. Thank you to everyone for helping make Painesville Township the best in Lake County (in my book anyway). Also, thank you to all giving up their time with friends and family to work and serve today.
God sure gave us a beautiful morning! Have a Blessed and great day everyone.
Took my son in for a haircut at Electric Heads Barber shop in Painesville Township on Madison Ave.
Ronnie, the owner, has a pic of the building on that land c.1950s. The owners pictured are the grandparents of the new building owner Terry King (also a Twp resident) who somewhat recently purchased the current building and is making great improvements. Being a 3rd generation Painesville Township resident myself I love to see stories like this of generations being a part of our community.
Be safe on the roads. Our great crew is doing their best. Please be sure not to park on the streets.

I attended the Veterans program at my daughter’s school today. Was fortunate enough to hear a moving speech by one of the teachers that is a veteran. 🇺🇸 I’m so happy to be a part of the Riverside Local Schools that teach our children appreciation for country and our veterans. God Bless our schools and our veterans.
Thank you to all who have served.
Wow, that was fast!
As previously mentioned in an announcement, things have changed this year for the Children’s Christmas party. It has grown beyond what we initially intended, which was a community Christmas party for children of Painesville Township and/or families of Painesville Township residents. So, we are limiting it to just Painesville Township residents and their families with a limit of EIGHT people. You must pre-register for the party so that we may appropriately prepare with food, drinks, treats, and gifts for the kids. Use this link to register. First come first serve. Limited to 200 people total so that we may stay within occupancy limits. Proof of residency will be required.
Party date 12/17/2022 at Painesville Township Park Metropark

We may not get this type of honest and important messaging from public health here in the US or Ohio, but luckily there’s some countries sharing it. I thought with all the news it would be a good time to share this great message I came across. This is from El Salvador but applies to EVERYONE. Check it out. ❤️Be well, stay healthy! ❤️
I have served as Painesville Twp Trustee since January 2012. I am proud to serve the community my family calls home.
