Lifeline is now scheduling appointments for our VITA Tax Clinics in partnership with the IRS! FREE tax preparation services will be offered throughout tax season in Painesville, Perry, Wickliffe and Newbury for Lake & Geauga residents. The "Be a Santa to a Senior" program is managed by Home Instead Senior Care in partnership with community organizations such as the Lake County Council on Aging, City of Mentor, Ohio - Municipal Government, Board of Commissioners and the Great Lakes Mall, as well as many thoughtful holiday shoppers!
The Board of Commissioners recognized Home Instead for their contribution to Lake County seniors with the Be a Santa to a Senior Program. This is the 13th year of the program that provides gifts to Lake County seniors in need who may be lonely at the holidays. The Board of Commissioners has partnered with Home Instead by hosting a tree for the program for the past three years. 🎄

Call the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) at the number below for help over the phone. You may also meet with an OSHIIP certified counselor by contacting the Lake County Council on Aging at 440-205-8111 or Lake County Senior Services at 440-350-2748 if you're in the Painesville area. One-on-one appointments are available in-person or virtually.
Everyone on Medicare should review their health and prescription drug plan options for 2022. Open enrollment runs October 15 through December 7 and any changes are effective January 1.
