BREAKING NEWS!!!

***BOMB THREAT TO LOCAL BUSINESS***

At approximately 2:47 PM, Prestonsburg/Floyd County ECC received a blocked call on our business lines from a male individual claiming to be armed with weapons including a pipe bomb with the intent to do harm to Food City in Prestonsburg on University Drive.

Response is ongoing, but as of this post we have found absolutely no evidence to substantiate the threat. We have traced the call and found it to be the same number that was calling in threats to area schools last week from an internet calling provider.

Area schools were placed into lockdown as a purely precautionary measure. After multiple sweeps of the campuses, we are preparing to give the all clear.

‼️Lawrence County PASSED our resolution‼️

Let me just say this some of the nicest magistrates and judge I’ve come across. They were extremely helpful and truly went out of their way to get this passed, and I’m incredibly grateful.

Not only did I meet a great court, I met some of the kindest people in the Lawrence County community. Talking with folks and seeing the family ties and connections just shows how connected we really are.

We are ALL in this together.

This is exactly how we build something lasting a regional coalition built on one thing: unity.

Let’s do this TOGETHER, Eastern Kentucky.
