An applicant must have lived in the county for six months or longer and be 21 years or older to apply. We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own, Lt. Clay Osborne, who has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was an honor to serve alongside you through the tough times and the good times. You were always a light to those around you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Rest easy, brother. We’ll hold the line from here.

On Wednesday, January 21st, we conducted a comprehensive search for contraband throughout the entire facility, utilizing manpower in conjunction with K-9 assistance. On behalf of the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Fraley’s Training Service for their invaluable support in conducting this search. We are pleased to report that no contraband was located within the facility. This successful outcome underscores the importance of teamwork in maintaining safety and security throughout our entire institution.
