Before you post those adorable back-to-school photos online, the Palacios Police Department wants to remind parents to pause and check the details. Strangers can easily use minor personal details to locate, track, or deceive your child.

🛑 Please avoid sharing these details on social media:
❌ Full names
❌ School name (or visible logos/uniforms)
❌ Teacher's name or classroom number
❌ Personal home information (like house numbers or regular routes)
❌ Height, weight, or Date of Birth

💡 Quick Tip: If your child is holding a chalkboard sign or wearing a shirt with these details, blur them out or crop them before uploading! Share the memories, not the personal data.

Day 4 – Junior Police Academy Graduation! 🎓

Today marked the graduation of our Junior Police Academy cadets and the successful completion of an exciting and educational week!

The cadets wrapped up the academy by learning about fingerprints, including how they are collected and used as an important tool in law enforcement investigations.

We are incredibly proud of each cadet for their participation, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn throughout the week. Thank you to all of our officers, instructors, volunteers, and families who helped make this year's Junior Police Academy a memorable experience.

We would also like to extend a very special thank you to Christi Adams for her hard work and dedication in planning and organizing every event hosted by the Palacios Police Department. Your countless hours of preparation, attention to detail, and commitment to our community have played a vital role in making each event a success. We truly appreciate everything you do to support our department and the citizens of Palacios.
