Palacios Library We're dedicated to advancing the education of the children and people of Palacios. Hours:
Mon-Wed 9am-6pm
Thurs-Fri 1pm-6pm
Sat 9am-2pm in the meeting room.

Tuesdays from 10-11 we have story time for kids. All ages are welcome and we usually do a small craft. Monday-Friday we have after school tutoring from 1st grade to 6th. This is available from 4pm to 5:45. If you have an older child that needs homework assistance we will try accommodate them. Thursday afternoons during the school year, we host Science Rocks from 5-5:30pm. Any school aged children are welcome to come and join.

Palacios Library's September Programs Calendar. Parents are invited to bring their children and join us for Story Time on Tuesdays at 10:00 am and on Fridays at 2:00 pm. We read a story and make a craft afterward. Science Rocks is on Thursdays at 5:00 pm. Children will learn something science-related or make an art project. If you haven't enrolled your child(ren) in our FREE After-School Homework Program and you would like them to attend, please stop by the library to fill out a form. We will make a post once we have a date for when our homework program begins.

Here are some pictures of the 2026 Winner's Circle all-day field trip to Houston. We were happy that we would all be able to ride together on a shuttle bus from Texas Coast Limo. A big thank you to Richard, the driver, for taking us on our field trip. We started the day with a self-guided tour of Space Center Houston (NASA). We then went and had lunch at Chick-fil-A. Afterwards, we went back to NASA and finished our tour. The kids enjoyed the trip very much. We would like to thank the Friends of the Palacios Library for sponsoring our annual Winner's Circle Field Trip.

When we arrived at work this morning, we were greeted by this wonderful surprise! It's still a work in progress, but the library now looks so cheerful, showing its Shark Spirit. The pictures don't do it justice. It looks so much better in person.
