As of late we have had multiple incidents where someone who needs help will call Officers whose phone numbers they have. This is problematic as that Officer may not be working at that time or they may not answer because they are enjoying their family, Church, life or resting. This also delays valuable time in emergency situations where seconds count. We as a Police Department want to get to your situation as quickly as we can and relaying information from Officer to Officer takes time. Thank you for your understanding.

This is a scam of no cause for concern. Please delete and report it as junk and block the number. Messages like these are scammers fishing for people to call and give them their information. Also Text messages of similar fashion without a picture and just words are also a scam. If it were actual communication from a court, it would come through the mail and they would actually know your name.

THV11 has projected a track for the Super Cell that is went thru Little Rock and Jacksonville and they are estimated it is possible for it to be in Forrest City at 4:03pm. Take preparations now, just in case it is still together. Don’t panic but get prepared now for 4pm here.

It has came to our attention that some of the residence of Palestine were not aware when the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office notified the public about the re-location of the below offenders. The public does not have to be notified on level 1 and 2 offenders. There are only residency requirements for level 4 offenders. Level 4 offenders can't live within 2000 feet of a school, church, or daycare and can't volunteer for children 16 or younger. These offenders can attend churches, school events and sporting events. If you do not agree with the current laws please contact your elected State Legislator's.
