SWPPD has partnered with Inner-Pole Testing to test poles on our Culbertson substation. Crews will begin testing near McCook and will work west. They will be in or on the vehicles pictured in this post. Where possible, the vehicles will have SWPPD magnets. Crews will also be wearing high visibility vests. Inner-Pole is expected to be on our system for approximately 10 days. If you have any questions, please contact our office at (308)285-3295.

We are aware of an outage affecting the north circuit of our Hayes Center substation. The affected area starts at Hayes Center and proceeds north to the edge of our service territory. Crews are currently on scene working to resolve the issue. Updates will be added to the comments section of this post as they become available.

Crews are currently responding to an outage on the east circuit of our Pflum substation. The affected area is located south and west of Wauneta and east of the Enders Reservoir. Updates will be added in the comments section of this post as they become available.

We are aware of an outage impacting customers on our transmission line from Beverly to Benkelman.
Crews are responding to find the cause in order to isolate and repair.

💥💥ATTENTION IRRIGATORS💥💥

With the forecasted high temperatures in the region, we are anticipating there to be load control on Sunday, July 19, 2026. As a reminder, all irrigators enrolled in our load control program are subject to a maximum of 6 hours of control on Sundays.

UPDATE: Power should now be restored to the affected area. If you are still without power, please call (308)285-3295 to report your outage.

Crews are currently responding to an outage on our Dundy substation. This outage is affecting north central Dundy county. Estimated time to restoration of power is 2 to 3 hours.
