Take special care to make sure the flames don’t spread to anything like drapes, trash cans, or clothing.Once the fire has died down, stay near the area for a few minutes to make sure it doesn’t reflash. While the specifics vary from building to building, in general you want to have enough fire extinguishers so that you don’t have to travel more than 50 – 75 ft to reach one.
