Remember, the extinguishant coming out is going to come out fast, so don’t spray it out faster than you can handle!S– Sweep the nozzle from side to side so you can hit all areas of the fire. Take special care to make sure the flames don’t spread to anything like drapes, trash cans, or clothing.Once the fire has died down, stay near the area for a few minutes to make sure it doesn’t reflash. And even when you have extinguished it, call the fire department just to be safe. How do I know if I have enough fire extinguishers in my building? While the specifics vary from building to building, in general you want to have enough fire extinguishers so that you don’t have to travel more than 50 – 75 ft to reach one.
