🐍 Love snakes or hate snakes? Come learn more about them at Turkey Creek Sanctuary!

Join us on Saturday, May 16 from 10 to 11:15 AM for our Let’s Talk About Snakes class and discover the venomous and non-venomous snakes of Central Florida, how to identify them, and how to safely avoid them. The program also includes a chance to meet our live snake ambassadors at the end of class. The cost is $5 per person and the program is open to ages 10 and older. An adult must attend with any participating child.

Stop by the picnic pavilion to swap seeds or simply browse and learn. A variety of seeds will be available, including vegetables, fruits, Florida natives, non-natives, vines, trees, and more. 🛶🌿 Explore Turkey Creek by Kayak!

Looking for a fun way to get outdoors this weekend? Experience Turkey Creek Sanctuary from the water with guided tours and kayak rentals from Melbourne Kayak Rentals.

Guided tours run Saturdays & Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and are great for all skill levels. Each 90-minute tour includes your kayak, paddle, and life jacket, and $5 from every booking supports Turkey Creek Sanctuary.

Rentals are also available Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (last launch at 3:00 p.m., all rentals returned by 5:30 p.m.).

Please note: Reservations are required. No walk-ups—staff are on-site only for scheduled bookings.

Make your garden a butterfly haven at our Butterfly Muddling Dish Workshop at Turkey Creek Sanctuary.

Join us on Saturday, April 25 from 10 to 11 AM as you create and take home your own butterfly bath. This hands-on workshop is perfect for ages 10 and up, with all supplies provided. Adult participation is required for children.

Registration is $15 per person. Pre-registration is required for all Turkey Creek Sanctuary programs, and no walk-ups will be accepted.

Join us at Turkey Creek Sanctuary for a fun and educational class all about these gentle giants! Learn how manatees live, why they’re so important to Florida’s ecosystem, and what we can all do to help protect them.

The class takes place this Saturday, April 18 from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. and is perfect for both kids and adults. The cost is $5 per person, and an adult must attend with each child.
