Hello PBA Families! This message is for All PBA Families. Please be reminded of our change in transportation safety procedure…

Due to the Jessica Lunsford Act, we do not accept transportation changes verbally, via phone calls/messages, text message, email, or voice mail. A recognized and documented (as per the school’s database) Parent/Guardian must give advance written, dated, and signed notice using the “Palm Bay Academy Transportation Change Form” personally to the Front Office. No other “note” will be accepted.



Please note it is not the responsibility of the homeroom or classroom teacher or the student to make sure the “Transportation Change Form” is delivered to the Front Desk. Incomplete forms will not be honored. There will be no exceptions.



Changes must be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to pick up/dismissal. If the completed transportation change form is not received by the front office by 11:00 am the morning of the change, the child will follow the previously arranged transportation.



Please review the attached for complete procedure details and a copy of the form. The Transportation Change Form is available at the front desk and on the PBA website/Parents tab/Parent Resources section/Welcome page (scroll down). Thank you for your compliance to this procedure.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved member of the Palm Bay Academy family.

For nearly 10 years, Ms. Dorothy safely transported our students each day, greeting them with kindness, a smile, and a caring heart. She truly loved "her kids," and they loved her right back. She was more than a bus driver, she was a familiar face, a source of comfort, and an important part of so many students' daily lives.

Her kindness, dedication, and love for our school community will never be forgotten. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and all of the students whose lives she touched.

We will share details about the memorial service, as provided by her family, once they become available.

She will be greatly missed, but her memory will forever remain a part of the Palm Bay Academy family. 🤍🕊️

Please note that submitting a bus application does not guarantee a spot on the bus. Transportation services are available within a 5-mile radius of the school, and assigned bus stops may be located up to 2 miles from your home.

Please review the attached PowerPoint presentation for important bus rules and expectations. By submitting a bus application, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to follow all bus rules, as well as the consequences for violating those rules.
