The Sales Surtax renewal is paid for by everyone who shops in Brevard and funds major improvements to our school facilities. This is not a new tax.

Sales Surtax funding allows Brevard Public Schools to complete essential projects that keep campuses safe, comfortable, and ready to serve students for years to come.

At Columbia Elementary, Sales Surtax funding made our campus-wide LED lighting upgrades possible. Upgrading to modern, energy-efficient lighting across our buildings creates brighter, clearer classrooms that improve visibility and focus for students and staff alike.

From updated air-conditioning systems and new roofs to renovated classrooms, playgrounds, tracks, and safety improvements, these investments help ensure our school buildings continue meeting the needs of students and staff.

Strong Schools. Strong Brevard.

A great principal does far more than keep a school running; she shapes its heartbeat. She is the kind of leader whose warmth flows down the hallways, even if they are outside hallways, turning every morning greeting and encouraging word into a reminder for students that they belong and matter. Her leadership fosters a true community where educators feel valued, inspired, and championed every step of the way.

Every single day, she pours her whole heart into Columbia Elementary. She leads with a brilliant blend of vision and genuine care, never expecting anything of her team that she isn't right there doing alongside them. Whether she’s diving into the daily rush with a smile or guiding everyone through challenges with grace, she shows up for her school family with unwavering dedication.

Thank you for your endless passion, your steady leadership, and the beautiful spirit you bring to Columbia Elementary every day, Mrs. Julian!

💙 Happy National Principal’s Month! We love you!

✈️🚀 Cleared for Takeoff! 🚀✈️

Our 6th grade Comets combined math, science, and engineering skills during an exciting airplane design and test-run challenge! Students applied what they learned about measurement, problem-solving, forces, and flight while testing their designs and collecting data.

Through collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on learning, students discovered how STEM concepts come to life in the real world.

Who knew learning could really take off? 🌟
