This November, two local funding measures are on the ballot. Neither are new. Both are already in place.

The first is the Sales Surtax — a sales tax renewal that funds safe, maintained, and modern school facilities.

The Surtax is the small portion of sales tax that stays right here in Brevard to keep school buildings safe, in good repair, and up to date. It funds three things: secure buildings, facility
investments, and technology infrastructure.

Over the next several weeks, we'll share more about what the Surtax funds.

Meet your child's teacher, learn about curriculum, assessments, and Title I programs, explore family engagement opportunities, and discover ways to support student success.

This week, our first graders focused on building a strong classroom community!

Through games, partner activities, and classroom discussions, students practiced kindness, teamwork, listening, and respecting one another's ideas. It has been wonderful watching students encourage one another and work together as a team!

💡 Try this at home: Ask your child to share one way they showed kindness to a classmate this week and one thing someone did to make them feel included.
