Hi, everyone! Please note that we will STILL be open at Northlake on Mondays, but at reduced hours (2-4pm). And, it will be more self-serve style, as we're giving the regular Monday teams 10 weeks off. So, you can STILL come on Monday afternoons, when a team of special volunteers (thank you!) will have the doors open and be able to check out your books, but they won't be on the floor offering the usual reading/educational/topical advice. This will be mid-May-end of July. Tuesdays & Thursdays, however, will be regular staffing and regular hours all summer long (except SummerBreak, see below). Only Mondays change at Northlake!

Also, THANK YOU to the angel who has been anonymously slipping $1 bills and kind notes into random books. You've blessed the folks who have found them so far! Love your spirit of being good to others...

Re: Summer Break -- It's always the week of July 4th. Thus, this year, SummerBreak will be July 3-July 10, for both branches.

Lastly, don't forget that Northlake's StoryTime (which was AWESOME earlier this week, thank you, Holly!) will be running for 4 more weeks, and Handy Fair (you must register to sell at Handy Fair) will be Saturday, June 13. But that's not all the StoryTime news... Wonderful Michelle Pagán is planning a Stuart StoryTime for June. Details to follow!

You're invited! Grand Finale of (schoolyear) StoryTime will be extra special, and we'll do this annually! All the children can DRESS UP as their favorite hero/character(s) from a book read this past year!

And, the first 10 children/sibling groups who volunteer can either act out a scene from the book, or tell a bit of the story in "first person" as your book-hero (historical or fictional)! We'll also read stories and share a snack. So fun!

IMPT: Be sure to let Alex know (when RSVPing) which book you've selected, so we can offer copies of it at the event for other kids to enjoy!

[By the way, we'll have news of upcoming SUMMER StoryTime (and June Handy Fair) in the next couple weeks. So, this April event is only the close of the 2025/2026 schoolyear StoryTime series. Reading is for life, not just for the schoolyear, so StoryTime will move to SUMMER program in May & June.]

**Spring Break Living Library Closure Upcoming**

To ease planning, we've decided to henceforward follow PB public school timing for Spring Break, only because it's so widely known. (We're NOT part of the school system!)

Thus, Living Learning Library (both PBG & Stuart branches) will close March 16-20 for Spring Break (when we tackle big projects).. Come stock up on wonderful books before the break!

Also, StoryTime (at PBG branch) will be canceled for March, since it would fall during the Break time. April's StoryTime will be even more precious!
