September 10 marks the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. With the highest potential for tropical storm activity occurring during this time, the Town of Palm Beach is urging all residents and businesses to review their hurricane preparedness plans. Although no hurricanes are currently predicted, weather conditions can change quickly, so it's important to stay prepared. https://alrt.se/u/2PZ2UNsKEyx

Palm Beach Fire Rescue proudly recognizes Firefighter Tyler Slusher as Employee of the Month for his outstanding dedication and bravery. While off-duty, FF Slusher witnessed a severe rollover crash and immediately sprang into action. Assessing the situation, he found the driver in critical distress, pinned inside the vehicle.

Using available tools, he and another off-duty firefighter worked swiftly to free the driver before Fire Rescue arrived. Thanks to their quick response and teamwork, the patient, despite sustaining serious injuries, survived.

Congratulations to FF Slusher for his heroic efforts and well-deserved recognition.

It is National Telecommunicators Week. Join us in thanking our dispatchers for all they do! They are the unsung heroes.
