ADDiTEC was proud to demonstrate its HYBRID X advanced manufacturing platform during the Naval Postgraduate School(NPS)'s Joint Interagency Field Experimentation (JIFX) event from May 11–15, 2026. The NPS Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing Research and Education (CAMRE) used the NPS partnership intermediary agreement with FLEETWERX and the austere field environment at JIFX to practice distributed manufacturing ahead of CAMRE-led initiatives at the Rim of the Pacific Exercise. ADDiTEC’s HYBRID X is a deployable manufacturing system that combines metal 3D printing and precision machining in a single portable platform designed for demanding and remote operating environments.
During JIFX, ADDITEC’s HYBRID X showed how advanced manufacturing technologies can help support military readiness by enabling the on-site production and repair of metal parts closer to where they are needed. These capabilities can help reduce supply chain delays, improve operational flexibility and support maintenance and sustainment efforts in the field.
We were honored to participate alongside innovators, defense stakeholders and government partners focused on advancing technologies that strengthen national security and operational readiness. Special thanks to FLEETWERX, the Naval Postgraduate School and the broader defense innovation community for bringing together this elite group and helping accelerate the adoption of emerging manufacturing technologies.
