FCLE Fridays are here for Summer 2026! 🇺🇸📚

Need to get ready for the Florida Civic Literacy Exam? Daytona State College’s Academic Support Center is offering FCLE Fridays all summer long to help students study, practice, and test.

Every Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, students can come to the ASC to review for the FCLE and then take the official exam on site.

Available locations:
📍 Daytona Campus
📍 DeLand Campus
📍 Flagler/Palm Coast Campus

A few important reminders:
✅ Students must begin testing by 10:00 AM
✅ A Daytona State College Student ID is required
✅ No electronics or notes are allowed during the exam
✅ ASC testing is staffing dependent

If you know UNF, you know the energy… SWOOP 🦅

Our high school students from Matanzas High School and FPC High School had an incredible time exploring campus life at the University of North Florida. From touring academic buildings and dining facilities to getting a hands-on look at unique spaces like the climbing wall, students experienced what college can truly feel like.

Students also participated in an engaging and informative presentation led by the UNF team, where they learned about the admissions process, academic programs, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, and more.

They connected with staff, asked thoughtful questions, and gained a clearer understanding of their next steps after high school. Moments like these help turn goals into real plans. 💙

One of the best parts of visits like this is unexpectedly running into former TRIO students on campus and hearing that they are almost ready to graduate. Time truly flies, and it is a powerful reminder that our students continue to strive for excellence every step of the way.

Students from Matanzas High School and FPC High School recently had the opportunity to visit Flagler College for a firsthand look at campus life. 🎓✨

Throughout the visit, students explored the campus, learned more about the college experience, toured residence hall spaces, and saw firsthand some of the amenities, resources, and opportunities available to college students. 🏛️📚

The opportunity to walk the campus, ask questions, and experience the environment in person helps students begin to picture themselves in a college setting and think more seriously about their future goals. 🌟 💭

Throughout the school year, our TRiO students spend time volunteering at Grace Community Food Pantry, helping prepare food distribution bags, organizing supplies, and supporting families across our community.

These experiences go beyond service hours. Students see firsthand how their time, effort, and teamwork can make a real difference. They learn the value of consistency, responsibility, and being part of something bigger than themselves.

We are grateful to Grace Community Food Pantry for continuing to welcome our students and for the work they do every week to support our community.

TRiO students volunteer on the first Saturday of every month, and each visit is a reminder that leadership often starts with simply showing up and being willing to help.

We are so proud of our students and the way they represent TRiO with care, respect, and a genuine commitment to others.

This is a great time for students to rest, spend time with family, and recharge after a busy start to the semester.

✨ Career conversations in action at Buddy Taylor Middle School ✨

Today, our TRiO team had the opportunity to be part of the Buddy Taylor Middle School Career Fair. It was great spending time with students, hearing their questions, and talking about the many college and career pathways they can begin thinking about right now.

We’re grateful to Buddy Taylor Middle School, Flagler Schools, and the Flagler County Education Foundation for bringing together programs and partners that help students start envisioning their futures early.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about TRiO. We’re excited to keep supporting students as they move from middle school to high school and beyond.
