📣 TRiO IS BACK! 🎓✨

We’re excited to officially kick off another school year! Beginning Tuesday, September 8, TRiO Talent Search will be back on campus and ready for another year of helping students explore college, careers, scholarships, field trips, and everything in between.

Whether you’re returning to TRiO or joining us for the first time, we’re excited to see you! 🙌

You’ve heard of Throwback Thursday, but how about Wayback Wednesday? ⏪🎓

We’re heading back to May 5, when we celebrated the TRiO Class of 2026 with a Cinco de Mayo-themed Senior Night filled with recognition, reflection, and plenty of great memories!

Our seniors received their TRiO graduation certificates, and several students were recognized with Standout Senior Awards for the effort, leadership, and determination they demonstrated throughout the year.

We also heard heartfelt speeches from students who shared what TRiO meant to them and reflected on the people and experiences that helped shape their journeys.

Our students and their families enjoyed an amazing dinner catered by Amigos, a local Hispanic market that brought the perfect flavor to our Cinco de Mayo celebration!

Followed by a presentation from TRiO Student Support Services, which introduced our graduates to the resources and guidance available as they transition into college.

This post may be arriving a little late, but celebrating these students is always worth it.

Congratulations again to the TRiO Class of 2026! ❤️💙

🎨 That’s a wrap on Summer 2026!

Our Art Enrichment Camp marked the final camp of an incredibly full and exciting summer for Flagler TRiO students.
Over the past several weeks, our students explored new opportunities through:

🧪 STEM Camp�
🎨 Art Enrichment Camp

Some people may assume TRiO takes a break during the summer, but that couldn’t be further from the truth 😀💙.

TRiO provides students with opportunities to learn, explore, create, and grow all year long.

From experiencing college life and discovering career pathways to building new skills and expressing their creativity, our students made the most of Summer 2026.

We are proud of their enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to try something new at every camp. What a way to close out an unforgettable summer! 💙

🧪🚁🔬 2026 TRiO STEM Camp was a HUGE success!

Our students had an exciting week exploring how science, technology, and innovation shape the world around us. Throughout camp, students engaged in hands-on experiences connected to agricultural science, drone technology, forensic investigation, laboratory experiments, and the academic and career pathways tied to these growing STEM fields.

From asking thoughtful questions to applying real-world problem-solving skills, our students had the opportunity to see how STEM learning extends far beyond the classroom. They explored college majors, career possibilities, and the many ways curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking can lead to meaningful futures.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this camp such a valuable experience for our students. We are proud of their energy, engagement, and willingness to explore what’s possible! 🌎✨

🎥 Big moment for our TRiO students! Our 2026 Digital Media Camp crew was featured on Flagler in a Flash! ✨

During this year’s Digital Media Camp, our students had the opportunity to learn from the amazing team at Flagler County's Public Affairs Department, who shared how media, communication, video production, public information, and community outreach all come together in the real world.

Even better, our students were featured in a segment of Flagler in a Flash, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how local government uses media to inform, connect, and serve the community.

A huge thank you to Flagler County's Public Affairs Team for pouring into our students and helping make this camp such a meaningful experience! 🙌

☀️ TRiO Students Giving Back This Summer! 💙💛

This summer, TRiO students and staff have been volunteering with the Palm Coast Community Center’s Youth Summer Camp every Friday, and we’re still going strong.

Our students have had the opportunity to lead and assist with a variety of hands-on activities for campers in grades K–5, including creative art projects, fun STEM-based experiments, and high-energy games that keep everyone engaged and smiling.

Along the way, they’re connecting with younger campers and showing what it looks like to lead with kindness, patience, and positive energy.

These moments are about more than earning volunteer hours. They give our students a chance to build confidence, practice leadership, and make a meaningful impact right here in our community.

We are so proud of our TRiO students for showing up each week, giving their time, and representing the program so well. Watching them encourage younger students and step into those mentor roles is exactly what makes opportunities like this so valuable.

A huge thank you to the Palm Coast Community Center and Palm Coast Parks & Rec for welcoming TRiO again this summer and giving our students the chance to serve, grow, and have some fun along the way.

This is community. This is leadership. This is TRiO. 💙

🎥✨ 2026 TRiO Digital Media Camp was a huge success!🎥✨

This week, our TRiO students had the opportunity to explore the exciting world of digital media, photography, marketing, communications, public affairs, and community outreach through hands-on activities and real-world career conversations.

📸 On Monday, June 22, students learned from award-winning photographer Jabari Grimes, whose work has been featured in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. A former TRiO student and current Daytona State College Photographic Technology student, Jabari shared his journey, his passion for photography, and how students can use visual communication to capture meaningful moments, build a personal brand, and create future career opportunities.

🏥 On Tuesday, June 23, students heard from the AdventHealth Marketing & Communications Team, including Michelle Bartlome, Sarah McPherson, and Kennedy Williams. Students learned how marketing, communications, branding, healthcare messaging, community events, and media strategy help organizations connect with the communities they serve.

🏛️ On Wednesday, June 24 students wrapped up camp with the Flagler County Public Affairs Department, including Lovie Haley and Samantha Shakes. Students learned how local government uses public outreach, livestream events, press releases, print content, video production, social media, and community messaging to keep residents informed and connected.

Throughout the week, students explored how creativity, communication, technology, photography, video, and media can connect to college majors, career paths, professional skills, and real-world opportunities.

A huge thank you to all of our guest speakers and community partners for investing their time, knowledge, and encouragement into our TRiO students. We are so proud of the way our students participated, asked questions, and engaged throughout the camp!

🎓✨ TRiO College & Career Camp 2026✨🎓

From June 8th –11th, our TRiO students took over Daytona State College for an unforgettable College & Career Camp experience!

Students had the opportunity to stay overnight in the DSC residence hall, explore campus life, tour college facilities, connect with career-focused activities, and experience what it feels like to be on a college campus.

Throughout the week, students participated in:

🏫 Campus tours
🎥 WDSC presentation and tour
💻 School of Digital Media Production experience
💼 Career exploration activities
🧠 College Knowledge games
🍕 Late-night pizza party
🎬 Movie nights
🎉 Recreation and team-building activities

This camp was more than just a few days away from home. It was a chance for students to build confidence, step outside their comfort zones, and see what is possible for their future.

We are so proud of our TRiO students for showing up, engaging, asking questions, and making the most of this experience.

The future is bright, and TRiO is here to help students get there. 💙
