I have been talking to other people about our history and what we do to preserve and protect it in Flagler County.
Before the big city of Palm Coast, our area was all farms and cattle for a couple of hundred years, with some turpentine operations sprinkled in.
Neoga was timber, lumber and turpentine. West was heavy agriculture, potatoes and cabbage were being grown and cattle ranchers were scattered around.
Wagons on Kings Road, then trucks on Dixie Highway hauled our commodities in all directions. Boats on the Matanzas and St. Johns River, then the ICW after 1907, carried our products north and south.
This is the history that is not taught in school. But I am finding that there is a desire to preserve and learn the past. Its not just KRHD or FCHS, but in places across Florida.
This is a page from a person who I had a long conversation with, Protect Rural Florida. Even though they aren't Flagler County, they have the same mission we do, preserve and protect our old time culture.

One of the things we talked to Greg from NSB Museum is that we need to all work together if we want to save our past. If you have a history group or page , post it in the comments. We will promote and support you.
