Community partnerships matter, especially when every second counts.

This morning, Flagler County Fire Rescue crews worked to establish a safe landing zone for a ShandsCair medical helicopter to assist with patient care.

A big thank you to Flagler Mosquito Control for stepping up and assisting our crews with securing the landing zone. 🚁🚒

It’s a Better Flagler when community partners work together! 🤝

You may have seen in the news that locally acquired dengue cases are rising in Florida. But dengue is not new to the state. Local dengue transmission dates back to the late 1800s.

Dengue is spread when an infected mosquito bites a person. The mosquitoes that can carry dengue spend 3/4 of their life in containers, usually around where people live and work.

Our technicians don’t usually horse around. Apparently this resident had some questions about Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
