East Flagler Mosquito Control District is opening our doors so residents can see the science, equipment, and people behind mosquito control.
Under Florida law, mosquito control districts are funded through ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ (60% from homestead properties) to support mosquito surveillance, larval control, mature mosquito control, disease monitoring, public education, and emergency response.
With statewide conversations happening now about potential property tax changes, this is a great time to learn more about how local mosquito control is funded and how those dollars are put to work for public health, quality of life, and emergency preparedness.
Join us for the EFMCD Open House on Friday, June 26, 2026, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how mosquito control works in your community.
