Decades ago, I joined Facebook to keep in touch with friends from San Francisco and West Hollywood, many of whom I have known since we were three years old. Then four years ago, most by a huge margin, disavowed me, blocked me and deemed me unworthy of the benefits of years of friendship. All knew I have been a Republican, including running for the California State Assembly and the United States House of Representatives, as the elected Republican nominee. I never held their beliefs as a block to our relationships, but they did with mine. On a more macro level, I am dismayed that people of good conscience, who had diverging views could not continue to even communicate. I grew up in San Francisco politics when I was a distinct minority, as a conservative. Nonetheless, I had great friendship with Democrat politicians and office holders. We respected each other and enjoyed lively debates. I am mortified that those days are gone. Now family members and lifelong friends are disavowed, simply because they have different opinions. Just because the national media and mainstream campaigns can’t discuss and debate ideas in a civilized and productive manner, does not mean that the people can’t. I therefore seek, ask and or challenge anybody who has deemed me unworthy of contact to engage with me in a debate of the upcoming election. It can be moderated and conducted over Zoom and broadcast over Facebook or X or any other platform. It’s time we debate ideas, rather than trash people. I am asking if any of you, to whom this message is sent, to debate me, in a civilized manner, with few rules and a vigorous exchange of ideas. If you limit yourself to people who agree with you, your blade will dull. I hope at least one or two of you will agree to debate me.

America’s basement is flooding and President Trump is the only plumber who can fix your flooding. You don’t have to like him, but you need to vote for him.

When will people understand that the only way to combat random murdering scum is for law abiding and trained citizens, with CCWs, to be able to respond. The ONLY thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun. That is why all the politicians are protected by heavily armed men. They want you to rely on pepper spray and a whistle. Why aren’t their security details armed with pepper spray and whistles? Because they want to live when a bad guy attacks them!!! Why do rich woke Hollywood celebrities surround themselves with armed former Mossad trained guards. Wake up people! You and ONLY you can be the first responders to protect you and your families.

HOLIDAY DRIVING SAFETY REMINDER

As most first responders have, I have rolled up on many a scene to see that a seatbelt saved somebody and sadly where the lack of one had devastating consequences! This time I was the one saved by seatbelts and airbags.

Fundamentally our business is all about giving you the training and tools to keep yourself and your family safe from disasters. A few days ago, I hit black ice and rolled my truck. Thanks to the seatbelts, airbags, Ford engineering and the luck of the Irish, I walked away, with minor injuries. It would have been so much worse if I had hit somebody, or been hit by another vehicle. This winter, PLEASE REMEMBER that the reason black ice is so dangerous is that you can't see it. I have been well trained to handle hydroplaning, but I still was not able to prevent my truck from rolling. As you travel this winter, with loved ones in your car and other people's loved ones on the road with you, in their cars, PLEASE wear your seatbelt and know that accidents happen to all of us. Wear your seatbelts. Keep your eyes on the road. Don't text while driving and wait to make those phone calls that really are not that important. Remember you are driving a two ton missile. Drive responsibly. Most importantly, remember, if you imbibe, don't drive. I teach my students, you don't carry a sidearm when you have been drinking and of course you absolutely should never drive a car, when you have had alcohol. Let's all be diligent to make this Christmas, Hanukka and New Year's all memorable for the good memories, not tragedies that could have been avoided.
