Inland Equity Partnership Our Story:
California Partnership (CAP) was founded in 2003. CAP came together out of grave concern about TANF re-authorization.

Inland Equity Partnership is a coalition working together to build civic power among low income, marginalized communities and communities of color in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Our efforts focus issues that affect very low-income women and families. People who are working low-income jobs, people who are on CalWORKs, CalFresh or other income supports, people who are dependent on state s

ervices, people who receive child care subsidies, people with disabilities, immigrant and undocumented people, people who utilize health care programs, people who are homeless, living in, or seeking affordable housing, formerly and currently incarcerated people, we work to improve the social safety net for all people.

Some of California’s ‘cheapest’ cities have seen biggest rent hikes
Inland cities including Bakersfield, Fresno, Visalia and Riverside — once cheaper options than pricey places such as the Bay Area — are no longer places of refuge from California’s housing affordability crisis.

The lack of enough places for everyone to live has sent coastal rent prices inland, removing large swaths of previously cheaper rental units.

This week, University of California Police arrested 3 workers on felony charges and confiscated their possessions for allegedly writing messages in chalk and washable paint calling on UC to stop underpaying workers. This is an attack on our fundamental democratic rights and the academic worker labor movement at large
