PSPF is excited to host a tour of "Morada La Estrella" (aka The Snyder Residence) during Modernism Week-October. Designed by William Charles Tanner in 1932, the home is one of the most architecturally significant Spanish Colonial Revival style residences in Palm Springs.

PSPF is pleased to host a tour of the Liever Residence (1968, Stan Sackley) during Modernism Week-October. The Lievers, who had a large family, enjoyed entertaining but didn’t wish to host overnight guests. Sackley designed a large home of over 3,000 square feet with only one bedroom, but with grand living spaces and servant’s quarters.

Please attend tomorrow's (Wed, Jul 8th, 5:30pm) Palm Springs city council meeting and ask the city to consider a balanced tree management approach rather than the proposed blanket policy that will strip 2,150 palm trees of their skirts. The palm skirts have become a distinctive characteristic of the Palm Springs landscape as represented in dozens of vintage and contemporary postcards, and photographs. The current “look” of the palms (i.e., skirts trimmed to approximately 12-feet off the ground) have become inextricably linked with our downtown image and have risen to the level of becoming a “cultural resource.”
